Munch, munch, chomp! Diving Fernandina

Fernandina island in Ecuador is one of the coolest and most memorable dives I've ever had the privilege to do! It was incredible to get up close and personal with marine iguanas as they munched on green algae in the shallow ocean swells.

However, the little monsters were not the only creatures to see off the coast of the remote island.

The star of the show in the second half the dive had to be the super friendly and playful sea lions! We'd seen them from a distance on previous dives, but they liked to stay close to the rocks and cautiously check us out. These little puppies were all over us at Fernandina!

Maybe a little too all over us... one took a chomp on my gloved hand! I'm the diver with the orange gloves and yellow camera, wagging her finger nuh-uh after being nipped. Fortunately, I own a baby velociraptor (Ollie the cowboy corgi), so I'm very used to being chomped on by naughty pups.

Bitey facey is my life wherever I go now.
