Trekking Tips - Ashley's GET PSYCHED Playlist

Welcome to a misleading title! I have precisely no practical trekking tips, but I do have awesome taste in motivational music. If you like a very specific sound and genre. So, that's not very practical either... But this is MY blog, so read on for impractical fun!
Day 2 on the Inca Trail is commonly known as the most difficult (for me most dreaded) day. Not only are you gaining 1,200 metres elevation of mostly large stone steps, you're reaching 4,198m (13,769 ft) altitude.
I needed something to help me keep positive and power through the day. Besides candy, that was my trusty iPod - the same device I write this blog on! I pulled together the most awesome, formidable, majestic, magnificent, rock band-ing, air guitar-ing jams I had on hand to tackle the never-ending stairs and make them my b*tch. So I expertly crafted a list of mostly 80s and 90s jams to get you pumped up.
Me needing some serious psychitude on the last incline before Dead Woman's Pass. It's the... EYE OF THE TIGER, IT'S THE THRILL OF THE FIGHT! RISING UP TO THE CHALLENGE OF OUR RI-VAAAAAAL!

  1. That's a solid 90s-00s list but you can't create a get psyched list and not include "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morissette.
